Our cities are filled with more and more polluting factories, our “standard” for beauty is becoming higher and higher, and we continue to destroy the earth. I really do think that we as Americans should stop putting so much emphasis on being physically perfect. It is progressively getting worse as well. In the eighteen hundreds, women were supposed to have curves, and now if there is a heavy breeze, they are supposed to blow away. Is there any wonder why more and more teenagers are developing diseases like bulimia and anorexia? Our media should stop putting all of these skinny malnourished people in all of our TV ads. I see a crest toothpaste commercial, and instead of focusing on teeth, they focus on the girl’s body. We should start focusing on important things, like saving our environment. Not only is the image of American people getting worse, but it seems to me like their personalities are declining as well. I doubt that George Washington would cheat on his wife while in the white house, and on top of that, I doubt that the media would make a huge scandal out of it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
